Gold is not one colour. By tuning nitrogen flow, bias voltage and target composition, we produce a controlled spectrum from warm 24K-look through pale champagne. Each shade is recorded as a recipe, so a re-order in eighteen months matches the first batch exactly — critical when a banquet hall expands from 300 to 600 chairs.

Where gold PVD outperforms
Three failure modes we get called in to fix.
Peeling lacquer
Gold spray-lacquer on banquet chairs typically blisters within 8–14 months of catering use. PVD has no film to lift.
Tarnished plating
Electroplated gold reacts with sweat, cleaning agents and humidity, going dull and patchy. TiN is chemically inert.
Batch mismatch
Hand-applied finishes drift between orders. Our recipes are logged and repeatable to the same visual standard.

Is PVD gold real gold?
Standard PVD gold uses titanium nitride to reproduce a gold colour without any gold content — this is what almost all luxury furniture and architectural gold finishes use worldwide. We also offer a genuine 24K gold PVD target where real gold deposition is specified, at a premium rate.
Will PVD gold change colour over time?
No. The colour is a property of the ceramic compound itself, not a dye or lacquer, so it cannot yellow, oxidise or fade indoors.
Can PVD gold be applied over an existing finish?
The base must be bare, clean stainless steel or a compatible metal. Existing lacquer, paint or worn plating must be stripped and re-polished first — a service we perform in-house.
